An oversized half-newsprint staple bound zine caught my eye scanning the shelves at Terranova in Barcelona. On the cover is a full bleed image of a woman wearing headphones on the street. Her blond hair gleams in the setting sunlight. The collection is made up of voyeuristic street fashion shots with Paris being the central character, present throughout. There is little to gather of who these people are or what their interior lives are like. The images capture gestures in-between moments as to focus on the attire.

Most photographs appear to collapse foreground and background planes suggesting that a zoom lens was used in order to not interrupt. A large dark coat silhouettes against a bright city background and frames a leather bag across a woman’s back. Individuals wearing statement sunglasses stand out from amongst a commuting crowd. Subjects are tightly cropped enough to prominently expose the film grain.
